Pros: It was brand new in a factory sealed box.
Cons: It was packaged differently than my other Ring Pro purchased last year. I went through the initial setup and it wouldn't establish a network with my phone. Got on the phone with Ring Support and they walked me through the pairing and network part with some special steps. Doorbell then went into the firmware update from which it did not recover. Ring told me that this was a Version 1 Pro doorbell and that they are currently supporting Version 3. LUCKILY, Ring offered to send me a Brand New Doorbell Pro and all I had to do was send my old one back. That is a lot of work for something that is 2 versions behind. Your experience may vary with what version you receive but there is a reason that these are less expensive than other offers out there.
Overall Review: In general, I would recommend the Ring Doorbell Pro to others. When it works, its great. I would caution other potential buyers to ask any sellers what version they are offering as it makes a difference when it comes time to set it up. The version can be determined by Ring by the Serial Number (S/N) sticker on the outside of the box which should match the one inside the cover of the actual doorbell.
